We are a one-of-a-kind lodging experience and event venue located on the borders of Driftwood and Dripping Springs, “The Gateway to the Texas Hill Country” and just steps away from the famous Twisted X Brewery.  Here we celebrate our greatest generation’s ingenuity and resilience. We strive to provide each guest with an unforgettable experience reminiscent of early Americana.  We offer fifteen early American Row Homes, each beautifully decorated with period furniture while still providing all the comforts of home.  All of our row homes are designed with a kitchen, master suit, loft and a covered front porch accompanied by two Adirondack chairs built by our neighbors in Wimberley.

Nestled amidst the natural beauty of Cedar Break this the Star Dust Airstream and RV Resort, offering sixteen RV sites with full hook ups, 50-amp power, shade trees, Adirondack chairs, and your very own cowboy cooker.  Our guests can also choose to stay in one of our luxurious Airstreams for a truly unique glamping experience.

Our beautiful park-like surroundings include fifteen-acres, with a pond and a 3-mile walking trail. We built The Pole Barn – fully open on all sides to provide shade to our guests and a great place for a game a corn hole. There’s a general store complete with penny candy and soda pop and an open-air Market Place right on the property with an array of local artisans and vendors on the weekends. < Market Place is coming soon>

Our spacious Tobacco Barn is beautifully decorated with historical memorabilia. It’s designed to be the perfect place to simply unwind at the end of a day of touring the many nearby wineries and distilleries or grab some authentic barbeque at near-by Salt Lick and have a game night or watch a movie on our big screen TV. For guests looking to plan something more elaborate, The Tobacco Barn provides the perfect backdrop for a birthday celebration, a graduation party, or family reunion, especially when the entire family can all stay comfortably on premise.  Cedar Break is also a great place for a corporate event, and we continue to host music events showcasing various local musicians both inside the Tobacco Barn and outdoors, under the stars, in what we like to call the Oak Grove. This outdoor, tree-covered venue is designed with a bar and benches crafted from tree trunks.

Cedar Break is quickly becoming one of the most unique wedding venues in Hill Country as well.  It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience from start to finish.  In addition to allowing guests to experience a beautiful reception in the Tobacco Barn, we also boast a private saloon, the Old BarN.  Here our guests can enjoy the privacy and comfort of their very own vintage western saloon. With a magnificent mahogany bar and three luxurious suites upstairs, it’s the perfect place for the bride or groom to get ready, spend the night or host an after party.

For us, Cedar Break at Howard Ranch was designed as a labor of love. For our guests, we hope it’s a destination that allows them to enjoy Texas hospitality combined with an historical Hill Country Experience.
